Blue Ridge Aquatics is a locally owned and operated aquascaping and fish store that opened in 2025. 

We are located at 317 W. Main Street in historic downtown Waynesboro, Virginia.

 

Our mission is simple... to provide happy and healthy freshwater and marine fish along with natural aquascaping supplies, live aquatic plants, and aquaculture corals right here in the Shenandoah Valley. ​​​​

Quarantine

All fish in our sale tanks have been quarantined and monitored for disease prior to being available for sale. We quarantine 100% of our freshwater fish in house, and only source captive bred saltwater fish from trusted and industry leading professional facilities like ORA and Biota that share strict biosecurity protocols like us.  As additional security, all of our store's sale tanks are separately filtered as opposed to one central filtration system through them all.  We deeply care about the lives in our care and choose to only source from reputable supplies and breeders who like us are dedicated to a higher standard of fish keeping.  While we can't guarantee complete immunity to nature and disease,  we do everything we can to eliminate the possibility of you bringing anything home, and would never sell a fish that we don't feel is ready. This goes for our plants and corals too, we source consistently clean and high quality plants with nothing more than the occasional common bladder snail, and all of our corals are 100% aquaculture right here on US soil by professionals- no wild caught or questionably sourced saltwater here. ​​​​​​​​

The local Fish store is calling... and I must go

The fun doesn't stop here, there is a lot to do in historic downtown Waynesboro.  Within a stone's throw of Blue Ridge Aquatics t is a whole day of activities. A block away is the South River, a popular fishing and kayaking spot, and following the river is Waynesboro's scenic Greenway Trail- a paved two mile stretch that runs alongside the river. It's a great area for biking, walking, birdwatching, and more.  We also have a few great local restaurants on our block for food and drinks, along with many locally owned neighboring shops to check out, all while planning your next tank!
